As part of a project for a Master’s in Publishing program at the George Washington University in Washington DC this blog and it’s associated website is meant to be a soundboard, a collection point, and a shared remembrance of a generation left between the cracks, a generation I am calling the Boomgappers.

For many years I have been cognizant of having a somewhat different formative experience than those of my older siblings, those born in the first part of the later half of the 20th century, but only recently have I decided to commit text to page concerning this subject. To my surprise I have found that I am not the only one recognizing this fact. The label “Jones Generation” has been applied to this demographic as well and is making its way to the collective conscience of a generation.

Please join with me in exploring this idea and feel free to relate your experiences by leaving your comments here on this blog to share with others.
